Aspen Aerogels is a line of durable industrial insulation products that meet demanding requirements and span the entire service temperature range from -460°F (-270°C) to 1200°F (650°C). SMC Industries specializes in the fabrication of Aspen Aerogels for several different applications.

Pyrogel® XT (msds sheet)
Thicknesses: 5 mm and 10 mm (0.20 in and 0.40 in)
Pyrogel® XT is used for a wide range of industrial applications including refineries, petrochemical, and gas processing industry. Pyrogel® XT is the most effective high-temperature insulation material in the industrial market, typically 2-5 times thinner than other widely used insulation products. Pyrogel® XT is efficient, durable, and more productive to install. Its water resistance offers a level of protection against corrosion under insulation (CUI).
Cryogel® Z (msds sheet)
Thicknesses: 5 mm and 10 mm (0.20 in and 0.40 in)
Cryogel® Z is used in below-ambient applications in the oil and gas processing industry (LNG, LPG, ethylene, etc.) and industrial appliances. Cryogel® Z has the lowest k-value of any widely used cryogenic insulation material, reducing thicknesses by 50%-80%. Cryogel® Z’s flexible blanket form, with a factory-applied vapor barrier, is both fast to install and durable once in service, resulting in lower-cost, higher performing designs.
Pyrogel® XTF (msds sheet)
Thicknesses: 5 mm and 10 mm (0.20 in and 0.40 in)
Pyrogel® XTF is used for fire protection. Similar to Pyrogel® XT in composition, Pyrogel® XTF has been specially formulated to provide protection against fire. Pyrogel® XTF achieves this industry-leading thermal performance in a flexible, environmentally safe, and easy-to-use product.

Please call for the availability of ‘Heavy Walled’ fittings such as Schedule 80, 6000# Socket Welds, or 125# Cast Iron Screwed Fittings.
